Save our Slabs!

Park Road is an established residential Edwardian terrace street in a popular part of Bearwood. One of the features of Park Road is an attractive slab footpath, that has stood the test of time, and avoided becoming a patchwork of ugly tarmac.

The slabs are safe

The slabs are stable, and

The slabs are not a trip hazard.

Grain Broadband has removed the some of the slabs during works to install new fibre network, then destroyed the slabs and just announced there was no plan to reinstall them. In place of the removed slabs, patches of tarmac sprawling across the slabs.

Please join us in telling Grain and Sandwell Council to return Park Road back to how is was, a visually pleasing streetscape.
