This Skating Rink was built in 1952 in a small town MacArthur.. Many people over the year since it was built raised up skating in this rink and their kids then began skating and so on. There was and is so much history and meaning to alot of people who grew up skating here memories that could never be takin away.

The day most of us found out the rink was closed until further notice shattered alot of our hearts but we kept a positive mind that they would reopen again soon after covid had slowed its peak.. 

But now they are wanting to tare down and build something that isn't fun for our kids or excersise our kids need. The fun and excitement of meeting up with friends for few hours these were the best of times that alot of us cherish and only want our kids to have the same stories and actions we have today.. 

I created this petition to try to save our lovely skating rink to give our kids a chance to have something great in their life. With tons of new memories to spread out into our communities. The town of beckley and more doesn't have much of anything yea we may have a bowling alley and a small mini gulf and a park pool but that's nothing to compare to our skating rink!

I truly think there's alot of people out there that feels the same way as I do and would love to try fixing this place up to its running state again. Even if alot of us can come together and help this skating rink that doesn't need to be destroyed..
