Save our Green on Victoria Mill Road

Save our Green on Victoria Mill Road
Why this petition matters
In 2020 Leaper Land Promotions submitted a planning application to re-route a section of Victoria Mill Road in Framlingham, Suffolk to facilitate the development of 49 new dwellings. Sadly, the proposed new road went through a green, much loved and appreciated by local residents. The greens provide a vital community function helping to bring local residents together, people meet and socialise on them, go for walks on them, children play on them and people use them as accessible and safe vital open spaces.
In 2022 residents were successful in listing the greens as an Asset of Community Value (because that is exactly what they are) and eventually the planning application was refused.
In August 2022 a new application was submitted by the same developers to again re-route the road and destroy our much loved green.
We are calling on the Local Council (East Suffolk) to refuse the application (ref. DC/22/2831/OUT), until an alternative access can be found. Please sign this petition to help us protect our greens, to enable them to continue to be used by the whole community.
