This court has been a good way for young people to stay out of trouble and engage in physical activities that keep them fit whilst also improving their social skills. The closure of this court means that, for a lot of its users, it would be hard to continue playing basketball due to the fact that there are not any alternative courts in the area of Paddock for people to use. Personally, I have been using the courts for many years and it has been an enjoyable way for me and my friends to socialise, whilst also staying active and participating in a sport that is not heavily funded by the council like other sports may be. 

The disposal of this land and the courts on it would negatively impact the local community as it is limiting the ability for the local youth and even the whole community itself from having space where they can socialise or take part in a sport.
