A bunch of money grabbing idiots shouldn’t get to destroy our planet and kill everything on it. The world lacks good leadership.

Nuclear has gotten “a bad reputation”. From some horrendous uses (military) and some terrible accidents (Chernobyl & Fukushima).
The splitting of atoms is a violent reaction that is incredibly difficult to contain and benefit from. However science and technology can make nuclear safe and might well be an important source of energy in a battle that we need to win for the sake of humanity’s future.

I sign because I feel the world cannot do without a technology that is the 2nd source of low carbon electricity in the world, and can be a pillar of the transition to a net zero world.

I am terrified that we are condemning our planet to oblivion, and the world's governments are moving at a snail's pace and with no clear direction.

Nuclear will supply our energy needs without contributing to greenhouse gasses. We do need to develop fusion to replace fission ASAP though.
