Whanganui East Primary desperately requires Speed-bumps ,Visible crossings and Speed deterrent signs.

In the past six months two children have been hit by motorists on Tinrau Street at the main entrance most recently and on the entry of Kepa Street at the end of last year, thankfully the children involved were ok.

There is minimal notice on the road that this is where 190 students are attempting to leave the premises safely.

Whanganui East Primary school has a road safety system in place and the staff a very careful with helping the children cross yet children are still being hit .
