Brookshire's in Malvern is the only viable alternative to shopping at Wal Mart in my small town. According to Forbes, Brookshire's estimated earnings in 2011 totaled $2.3 billion dollars. They COULD easily afford to keep this store, so vitally important to my community, operating. To obtain many of the items I normally purchase, I, and thousands of others, will be forced to either shop at Wal Mart or drive 20 miles to the next town. Both options are just unacceptable.

As well, the many employees of this store have families who are completely dependent on these jobs that are about to be erased.  I can honestly say I never met a nicer bunch of people.  They have always treated me like family.

The collective loss of income from these 36 jobs will be detrimental to the community as a whole.

The Walmartization of America continues, unabated,as all other stores are forced to close, leaving consumers with no other options for purchasing necessities.  We must take a stand against this.  Citizens in small, rural towns should not be limited to buying only from the company that is destroying their town and all other businesses in it.

Please stand with me in demanding that Brookshire's not close this store, which has been supported by this community for 15 years.

Letter to
Brookshire's Grocery
I just signed the following petition addressed to: Brookshire's Grocery.

----------------
Keep the Brookshire's in Malvern, Arkansas open.

Brookshire's in Malvern is the only alternative to shopping at Wal Mart.

The community as a whole will suffer if Brookshire's carries out their plan to close this store.
