Newton Public Schools lunches are unhealthy and bad quality. Many people are unhappy with them. Our goal is to raise the prices of the lunches to have more funding for the meals. Currently we are losing 30 cents per meal and by increasing the school lunch price to $5.50 there will be enough money to make a healthy and delicious meal. Due to Covid-19, the school lunches changed, we no longer had to pay but the quality decreased greatly. Soon NPS will go back to participating in the National School Lunch program but the quality of the lunches will still not be great.
