Neighbours is reportedly being axed from our screens by Channel 5 after nearly 4 decades on air.

The iconic Aussie soap, which started in 1985, will end this August according to national media sources.

Neighbours is an institution which many people have grown up with. Over 1.5 million people in the UK watch the show on a daily basis.

It is due to air its final episode in August, 3 years short of its 40th Anniversary.
