I am a resident at the Bay 20th and Cropsey Ave block in Brooklyn, and there is an daily issue I must address. When we drive out, it is very hard. It is a two way busy street, with JUST A STOP SIGN. This is not enough. Every morning, my mother has trouble turning, and we would each look at one side, to be sure that there are no cars on a street where multiple buses, supply store trucks, cars pass each morning endlessly. My father would even just turn right, an easier but an alternative that takes 5 more minutes for him to go to work. Not only it affects me, but other residents, mostly elderly that have a hard time crossing. Because our block is such a minor street and a one way, it is very likely that the DOT commissioner would hear our voice. Adding this traffic light to our block, would help many people, and ensure the safety of all.
