Early Thursday morning, April 9, 2009, the sports world was shaken by the tragic news of the death of a young Los Angeles Angels pitcher, Nick Adenhart. Adenhart was described as a caring and happy person. He also had a promising career in Major League Baseball. He was a top pitching prospect and this year was named the third starter for the Angels. On Wednesday night, April 8, Adenhart was the starting pitcher for the Angels. It was his fourth major league start, his best, and his last. That night, and into the early morning of the next day, Adenhart was killed along with three friends. Another is in serious condition. How did this happen? A drunk driver ran a red light and struck Adenhart's car. So, the reason why I posted this under education was because this can educate us. Never drive under the influence. It's your choice. It's our lives. Pledge to never drive drunk.
