Help us protect OUR park in the interest of the local community!

Grandpa Greenes have applied to create a new 44 seated cafe within the park, the park previously had 7 public toilets and all offers to manage them in their current state were REJECTED by Oldham council.

The development will take 163 sq.m of our only community green space in favour of private commercial gain!

Instead plans are now underway to erect a large glass fronted 44 seated cafe with just 1 public toilet. Uppermill is a VERY popular tourist destination and we NEED more than 1 public toilet.

This space should be preserved so that children can play freely and everyone can enjoy the open space when required, including popular events such as Whit Friday, Yanks Weekend, Classic Car Show and Family Fun Days.
