There are many devastating problems going on in the world today. Without trying to undermine those more pressing matters, we would like to bring to light an issue that is very concerning to us.

Many of you may have used Google Hangouts to communicate. The splendid app is simple and efficient with little left to desire. But for some absurd reason, all of that is being taken away from us. Instead, we are given the laughable "upgrade": Google Chat.

This "replacement" is ludicrous. The dunderhead of an app makes it difficult to tell which messages you've sent and which you've received. In our opinion, Google is making a mistake is releasing this app. We've never found reason to be frustrated with them before, but now we would like to at least know their reasoning for taking away our beloved Hangouts and instead handing us Chat in an act of senseless cruelty.

We are not against an upgrade to Hangouts, but we strongly feel that the mentioned upgrade should actually be an upgrade. We know Google is capable of making such an app. A sleek, new and improved hangouts with sharper lines and whatnot. Not pathetic like we've discovered Chat to be. Google has created multiple apps and games of genius levels with stunning design and structure. We have full confidence they can put that skill and talent into creating a pleasing messaging app. We would also be content to simply keep Hangouts.

Our plea to you is to sign our petition to dispose of Google Chat and keep the classic Google Hangouts or be gifted with a new replacement app of genuine value. Join our cause today and save the world from yet another (although not comparatively important) disaster.
