Stop tree removal in Germantown. Save our beautiful canopy.

Two trees, tulip poplars, which are the state tree of KY., have been marked to be cut down to make room for sidewalks. The trees are located in Germantown on Hickory at Mulberry. They are part of the neighborhood canopy and are irreplaceable. They should be honored and protected. These trees have invested many years of growth, absorbed a considerable amount of carbon, contributed to the air quality, health and character of the neighborhood. In speaking with many neighbors who live around the trees, they were not aware of the impending tree removal and we are all in favor of discussing solutions in order to preserve the beautiful old trees. We would like an alternative to cutting down the trees.
