Save children with cancer

Save children with cancer
Help to save some children's lives:
At present, Cancer Research UK allocate only 1.4% of their research funding for all children's cancers (there all 200+ sub types of cancers affecting primarily children).
My grandson, Logan (pictured), died of DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma) which is a cancer affecting mainly children and is fatal upon diagnosis. The treatment (radiotherapy) offered is only palliative, is the same as was offered 50+ years ago (when the astronaut, Neil Armstrong's, daughter died from DIPG in 1962) and median life expectancy is just 9 months.
Even where children survive other childhood cancers they often suffer the long term consequences of treatments developed for adults.
The Board of Cancer Research UK is petitioned to ring-fence 25% of their research funding children's cancers.
Let's hope you only have to imagine your own child or grandchild being affected...
