Every day when I walk into school I hope with all my heart, that my school won't be the next target for a mass-shooting. Twelve-year-olds should be worried about how they did on a test, not worried if someones's going to come in with an automatic rifle and massacre their classmates and teachers. When I used to get an alert it would be about the weather, but now it's about yet another school shooting. I ask myself, when will this nightmare end? When will I feel safe again?  

3369 children died due to gun violence in 2019. That's a child dying every 2 hours and 36 minutes. That's 3369 boys and girls who are never going to graduate. That's 3369 souls who won't make their mark in this world. That's 3369 kids who may have figured out the cure for cancer or solved climate change. Since 2019, the situation has only gotten worse. These innocent kids' LIVES have been taken away, and that must stop.

People die every day from guns. We need laws that will protect us. We need laws like Red Flag laws and raising the age requirement of buying a gun from 18-21 to help keep us safe! We need responsible gun control now to protect our families, our communities, and our country.
