Save block funding for Aged Care Community Transport Services by 2018

In 2018 the Commonwealth Government proposes to roll-out individual packages for all eligible Aged Care clients. This will lead to Community Transport in NSW losing its block funding and the ability of Community Transport to look after collectives of people in a safe and regulated framework. This will mean that transport costs in our sector could increase for some clients up to 2000% to meet the the new user pays system and market contestable requirements.

These changes will also mean loss of employment and training opportunities in the Care Sector for hundreds of workers and undervalue the volunteer element so needed by services to ensure quality service delivery.

Please sign the petition in order to keep block funding from 1 July 2018 for All NSW Community Transport services and to keep prices reasonable for all transport disadvantaged people.
