Because if it wasn't for them I would be using a bottle which I really didn't want. I have always want to breastfeed but when the occassion called for it I couldn't and when baby tried to latch it was sore.... I then saw the support group in the hospital and then helped me out loads.....I now think too much as he never seems to want to let go. Without them I wouldn't be doing what's best for him and I'm still struggling with certain things...without them I have no professional help to turn to. Google and parents can't help

Breastfeeding peer support is extremely important to women locally and removing support and funding is disgusting. Let's keep supporting women!

Without this service breastfeeding numbers will dwindle. I would have given up if it wasn't for all the support I had from the service in and out of hospital. This would be a backward move!! You can't rely solely on volunteers! !

I'm a trained peer supporters and see first hand how vital these services are. They need to be saved! The amount of mums we have supported to continue breastfeeding, and it's worked, despite them having different issues, if it wasn't for these groups and support provided a lot of the mind have said they would have given up.
