To His Holiness Pope Francis,

We, the undersigned people around the world, call on you to step in and safe lives in Mariupol’ and inside the Azovstal’ metalworks. Roman-catholic faith calls us through our hearts come up with our deeds, without deeds faith becomes weak. 

It is said “ask and you shall be given”, as well as “give us this day our daily bread” and it is with grave sadness that we watch today people of Mariupol’ and their defenders at Azovstal’ are dying without life critical items such as bread and water. As all roads from and in the city are blocked with all supplies had been cut off, city is almost left without means to survive. Defenders of Azovstal’ are dying, rotting alive, in an inhumane anti sanitarian set up, which has been created artificially and is unnecessary. Don’t let this happen to them. Don’t let them feel abandoned and excluded.

“Feed the hungry. Heal the sick. Protect the vulnerable” - are the pillars of catholic faith. We call on you to righteously put it to practice for people of Mariupol’ via bringing the world leaders together around Mariupol’ now and put demands to the source of this grave sadness.

Time is quickly running out for those left to suffer.

Mariupol’ needs all the help it can get and what can be more powerful than an instrument of peace that is Your Holiness.

Like is said in the prayer of Saint Francis

“Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.

Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy.”
