I am writing this petition on behalf of hundreds of students of Sault College. The rise in Covid cases in Ontario is alarming and the new variant can pose a risk to lives of all students. It Is a request to Sault College for providing an option of Remote / hyflex learning for Winter Semester 2022 for students enrolled in management courses/ courses which do not require in person studies. This is especially inconvenient for students in their final semester to move from their respective residences to Ste Marie on short notice just for 3/4 months. Many colleges and universities have changed their decision to remote/ hybrid learning in favour of their students. Transport and in-person classes could pose an increased risk of susceptibility to Covid-19 as well as the new variant. Its a humble request to the authorities for empathising with the situation of students and to reconsider their decision.
