SPEAK UP SAUGERTIES! A PETITION OPPOSING COVID-19 MANDATES IN SAUGERTIES CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT.

BY SIGNING THIS PETITION, you acknowledge you have read and agree to the following statements:

I AM A… Saugerties CSD Taxpayer AND/OR Teacher or Staff Member / Employee / Parent / Family Member / Guardian / Caregiver of a Child or Student which is currently affected, or could potentially be affected by such mandates. I have signed this petition willingly.

I OPPOSE Mandated Coronavirus / COVID-19 Vaccines or other treatment for any Saugerties Central School District Students ages 0-18, Teachers, Staff/Employees. I instead SUPPORT that any/all Coronavirus / COVID-19 Vaccines or other treatment available now or in the future are to be taken on an entirely voluntary basis. I AGREE that no child should be afforded the right or opportunity to make a medical decision such as vaccination/ inoculation/ immunization or treatment without the written consent and physical presence of their legal guardian.

I OPPOSE Any attempt by any individual or entity to vaccinate/ inoculate or immunize children / students ages 0-18 for COVID-19, including but not limited to any future variants/strains that may arise.

I OPPOSE Mandated / Routine Testing for children / students ages 0-18 for COVID-19.

I OPPOSE Mandated Face Coverings for children / students ages 0-18 on the grounds that they are more damaging to the social and emotional well-being/needs of the child and their efficacy is minimal, due to inherent misuse and cross contamination consistent with a typical school day. Therefore the risks outweigh the benefits. I instead SUPPORT their use on an entirely voluntary basis  for students, at the sole discretion of parents/guardians and optional for any employees and visitors on school district facilities and while attending school sanctioned events.

To the Saugerties Central School District:

Pursuant to RSA 195:13, we, the undersigned duly registered voters within the Saugerties Central School District, in the town of Saugerties, NY, hereby make application to our School Board to warn a Special Meeting to act upon the following: “To determine whether the voters of the Saugerties Central School District will vote to adopt the following provisions related to COVID-19 mandates: within the Saugerties Central School District:

a.) Coronavirus / COVID-19 Vaccines or other treatment for any Saugerties Central School District Students ages 0-18, Teachers, Staff/Employees should be taken/administered on an entirely voluntary basis. 
b.) No attempt by any individual or entity to vaccinate/ inoculate or immunize children by injection, oral, inhalation or other means shall be made against the will of their legal guardian. 
c.) COVID-19 testing for children / students ages 0-18 shall be on an entirely voluntary basis. 
d.) Face Coverings for children / students ages 0-18 shall be worn at the parent/guardian’s discretion. The use of face coverings shall be optional for any employees and visitors on school district facilities and attending school sanctioned events.”
