Many of us really dislike the idea of having a “drive through” graduation. I’ve even heard multiple people say that they would rather have nothing, yet Mrs. Gary stated to the school board that we, the students, love and support the plan, despite never consulting the majority of the senior class. While there may be some that are okay with the idea, it seems that those who do are greatly outnumbered. If we have the chance to have a more traditional graduation ceremony, like the one we have all waited four years for, then why can’t we take that chance. If social distancing guidelines are relaxed by July or August, we could still have the most important event of our high school careers, and if they are not, then we can have the drive through graduation. There’s really no reason to rush to plan something for the beginning of June. We’ve missed out on so many other events planned for the end of this year, so please sign this petition that may allow us to have at least one normality as our time at Saucon comes to a close.
