Mandate Masks in Saskatchewan Public Schools

Mandate Masks in Saskatchewan Public Schools
Saskatchewan public schools have a lacklustre re-opening plan, one that has been cited as "the worst plan in Canada" by Carla Beck, the Saskatchewan NDP's education critic. There is no plan to decrease class sizes, enforce social distancing, or mandate masks. Simply providing hand sanitizer, directing student flow, and staggering transitions isn't enough. We demand a mask mandate for Saskatchewan public schools. Masks should not be a secondary plan for when COVID-19 hits Saskatchewan again and it is too late to stop the spread when wearing masks is a painfully easy way to protect our population and lower the spread of coronavirus. Students should be encouraged to bring their own masks, with masks provided in-school for students who don't have their own. Saskatchewan has already suffered over 1,000 cases and eighteen deaths from COVID-19. Without taking early precautions, these numbers will quickly increase. WE DEMAND FOR MASKS TO BE A REQUIREMENT IN SASKATCHEWAN PUBLIC SCHOOLS.
