The Curtis road and Heaslip road intersection has been a continuous traffic danger hazard for commuters in the local Playford community where countless accidents and multiple deaths have occurred due to its high speed zone and sharp turning corners.
During the 2018 South Australia state election campaign, Sarika Sharma (Liberal Party Candidate and Representative for the seat of TAYLOR) and her campaign team have consulted with many community members in the Angle Vale, Andrews Farm and Virginia suburbs and received countless complaints about this intersection due to its structure, putting locals at risk. Sarika discussed the issue with a member of the Angle Vale & Districts Residents Association, Clint Marsh and discussed the progress so far and has planned to take it further by contacting council and the DPTI in regards to place a ROUNDABOUT in the intersection and lower the 80km/h speed zone down to 60km/h speed zone to prevent families and local residents being put at risk.
In order to take further action Sarika urges all local residents to sign this petition to have more influence on implementing this upgrade after the state election
