Help us stop the destruction of shops to make way for retirement flats in Paddock Wood High Street. The current plans submitted to Tunbridge Wells Borough Council only propose two replacement retail units to replace the five that are existing, meaning the business owners stand to lose their premises and Paddock Wood loses a large proportion of its much needed High Street shops. With the increased housing in the area this will put more demand on an already busy town. 

Azizul Miah has owned Saffron for 16 years and worked hard to build his business to the success it is today and would like to at the very least have the retail units replaced allowing his and the other food outlets to continue, however Mr Miah has already been informed there will be no provisions for takeaways etc in the new plans and with no other suitable premises available in the high street will be one of four businesses forced to close.
