Safety is paramount at the round-about that links Cobham Drive to the ASB Sports Centre in Kilbirnie.
We believe that people are prevented from biking or walking to ASB from Miramar and beyond because of the lack of dedicated infrastructure and traffic-related safety concerns.
Improving safety for cyclists and pedestrians would make active travel to and from the ASB Sports Centre more probable, reducing motorists emissions by having to drop off competitors during the week and weekends.

 
We propose that an over-bridge would be a great option for pedestrians / cyclists as Cobham Drive is heavily used by motorists and dangerous. A direct link would allow pedestrians / cyclists to travel further beyond ASB Sports Centre if required.
