House breaking, robbery and organised crime in Wff , De Deur and Ophir Estates, neighbours

1. We have been experiencing a high level of house robberies, break ins and organised crime in our area.
2. Our properties are invaded, equipment, livestock, vehicles, electricity cables, gate motors, general household items and appliances, amongst others, are stolen almost every single night, sometimes at gunpoint.
3. Numerous cases have been reported to the SAPS at De Deur, only to be closed later, supposedly due to lack of evidence as the reason provided, even when clues and suspects are supplied.
4. The local CPF provides assistance whenever called upon, however resources are insufficient to cover our vast area, thus rendering their efforts inadequate at some instances.
5. Police patrol or sector vehicles are hardly seen in the area, and take long to respond to emergencies.
6. Suspects who get apprehended make a quick return to the area, and upon enquiry, the same reason of lack of evidence is put forward.
7. It is our opinion that certain crimes taking place in the area are organised by syndicates operating openly. This is supported by the fact that these crime are committed in a similar modus operandi, where thugs enter properties without fear and take whatever they want, not once but on as many occasions as they feel theres still something of value to gain out of a particular property, further suggesting that they are constantly armed.
8. Property owners are prohibited by law, to take matters into their own hands, however, we have noted with caution, that people are gradually loosing hope in our community safety agencies, and are loosing valuable items on daily basis, which might lead to unnecessary lawlessness that can be easily avoided.
