Support Rezoning for Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge: Santa Rosa County Florida residents

The Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge, ECWR, is currently located in a leased, old, metal building (the old fire station) on Okaloosa Island with no natural area for wildlife to live or move while rehabilitating. Recently, 3 parcels of land just north of Navarre, currently zoned for single family housing (R1) were offered to the refuge to build a new home. Moving ECWR to this beautiful, undeveloped property will allow our Florida wildlife to rehabilitate in a more natural setting with indoor/outdoor access and open ECWR to the public for educational purposes. This land will need to be rezoned to Conservation/Recreation (P2).
I fully support the petition to approve and adopt the rezoning of Holley-Navarre area lots: 05-2S-26-0000-02311-0000, 05-2S-26-0000--2312-0000 and 05-2S-26-0000-02313-0000 to Parks & Recreation for the sole purpose of housing ECWR. I certify I am a Santa Rosa County, FL resident.
