Forest Bay Estates is looking to build a new residential neighborhood on the property just to the west of the newly built Cambridge Park neighborhood. In order to do this they are requesting a rezoning of the land from HCD (Highway Commercial Development) to R1 (Single Family Residential) and also requesting a change from COMM (Commercial) to SFR (Single Family Residential). If this is allowed they will require an entrance in which they plan to use our Cambridge Park Drive entrance directly next to the mailboxes. If this were to take place that would cause an enormous amount of additional traffic into our neighborhood leading to less safety and security. This would also negatively impact our property values. Most people bought a house in Cambridge Park because of privacy of a single street with a large access road, sidewalks, and the potential for a gated neighborhood in the future. Please sign the petition and do your best to communicate to the BOCC that this change should not be allowed.
