Norfolk Council had voted to significantly increase the waste water rates for holding tank users. The 2019 proposed increase to $14.84 represents a 24% increase and is not reasonable nor economically viable for rural residents and businesses. This petition is to ask the newly elected Council to maintain the 2018 level of $12 per cubic meter while this subject is reevaluated. In addition we request that the County establish a pricing strategy for future years based on inflation so that residents and local businesses can be assured of some stability.
