We the undersigned San Ramon Residents request that our elected officials take a leadership role and follow other Bay Area cities who’ve established policies to address the Climate Crisis.
We request that the City of San Ramon place these two items, and hold a public hearing to take the following actions:
1. Declare a Climate Emergency.
Similar to the one that the County Board of Supervisors and other Contra Costa County Cities have passed; and
2. Establish a Sustainability Task Force.
A committee of San Ramon residents, to study and advise on initiatives for City action. At a minimum this will include an updated Greenhouse Gas( GHG) inventory, and Climate Action Plan, Environmental Justice policy, Electrification, and improved EV infrastructure.
