Decades ago during a severe facility shortage, the SLO County Court took up partial residence in the SLO Veteran's Memorial Building (a SLO County structure.)  Two things have since changed.  First there is now sufficient court space in Downtown SLO.  Second, the court system is now operated by the State of CA and not SLO County.

This space should be reclaimed by SLO County so that it may be used for its primary intended purpose -- for the benefit of all Veterans of US Military Service.

The perfect time to do this will be when the Vet's Hall will undergo a major roofing project from March 4, 2019 until the end of June.

One wonderful idea would be to use this space to allow the Central Coast Veterans Memorial Museum to expand from its current location at the SLO Vet's Hall.
