A vet center on campus will provide the following important opportunities for our veterans on campus:
1. Gives the vets a place to congregate among their own and feel comfortable; a safe haven that functions as a support network.
2. Functions as an excellent location for veterans to receive different kinds of help: academic counseling, peer mentoring, and the resources to get help in other areas of their lives outside of school in one centralized location.
3. Help staff and faculty learn about the challenges that vets face and/or come in to speak to vets on how they can help the students be successful at SJSU.
