Update: Still No Fence

I am grateful to report that there is still no fence keeping the homeless and others out of the public space at Mc Coppin and Valencia Streets, however, there remains the valid concern that the plaza is often overrun by homeless people who are not always respectful in the way they treat the area. Since starting this petition I have held a number of park-clean-up sessions, days or nights when myself and a few friends go to the park and clean up all the garbage we find strewn about. But I can not do it all by myself. If you are concerned about the people who disrespect the parklet and make it unwelcoming for others please contact me at dharma@thesisters.org and let's do some brainstorming. Together we can find a reasonable solution that preserves the park as a place that's welcoming to all and a refuge for our neighborhood. Make no mistake. The tent city is still on if that fence goes up! Indulgent Blessings Sister Dharma Gettin' http://sisterdharma.rocks
