Hi Folks,

Re: Let’s work together to change the name of Justin Herman Plaza to The San Francisco Street Artists Plaza.

1.) The San Francisco Street Artists have been at the Embarcadero / Justin Herman Plaza continually from July 15, 1971 to today. Only days away from their 46 year anniversary. See the San Francisco Chronicle Article: Instant Blooming Of an Art Festival. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5edl3ad1RFeZ3lmTlJDOFpVdHc/view?usp=sharing

2.) The Plaza was the first area that The San Francisco Street Artists were legally allowed to show and sell their work when no-one else wanted to be there.

I think it is about time Street Artists had an area named after The San Francisco Street Artists to remember, recognize and honor all the trials and tribulations the founding members of the 1970s Street Artists Movement endured so that Artists could show and sell their Art at the Plaza today and in the future. This film shows just one of the many early difficulties that occurred between the Street Artists and the authorities.
