San Antonio NEISD: Name High School for Medal of Honor Winner PFC Milton A. LEE

The NEISD of San Antonio recently voted to remove the name of Robert E. Lee from the high school there. I propose that the high school be renamed for 19 year old PFC Milton A. Lee, a graduate of Harlandale High School in San Antonio who enlisted in the Army in 1967. PFC Lee received the Medal of Honor for his actions in the Republic of Vietnam on 26 April 1968 when he single-handedly destroyed an enemy emplacement and was mortally wounded while attacking a second.
The new name would save much taxpayer monies by limiting the cost of the name change, would honor a local hero, and be acceptable to many Lee High School Alumni who opposed the name change.
