My family has lived here since this was called Villa de San Fernando de Béxar. I absolutely reject the idea that only one building (the Alamo) in this city has historical value which gets to be held above everything else. I disagree with forcing out the tenants as well, but if you must do that, then put the building to new purpose. Tearing it down would be an absolute abuse of the trust we put in the government as the steward of that building.

I am sick and tired of the left trying to erase history! History is what it is, and it can’t be changed. We remember our history so that we don’t make the same mistake again

Alamo Plaza has been a public, civic space central to our city and downtown. There are other solutions. Do not sign, let San Antonians keep ownership and do it to preserve all layers of history of San Antonio.

We need to keep our history. They are trying to demolish the Alamo to appease the Mexicans. We are sick of it everywhere.
