Why this petition matters
I had purchased a Samsung S20 in August 2020 and have been using it with the utmost care to this date. On 7th June 2022, small flickering lines had started appearing on the screen, followed by the entire screen turning green and blurry. Please note, the phone had never been dropped, harmed or had any sort of contact with water throughout these two years, and the issue appeared out of the blue. I took it to the service centre today (20th June 2022) and they have asked me to pay 16000 INR to get the display changed. As a premium customer who has bought this phone due to its durability factor, this is a huge disappointment. Alot of their premium customers have been affected with this as well, and samsung has done nothing but ignore it, or ask them to pay a whopping amount of money for the display replacement.
We will not stay silent, and signing such petitions is the only way this can be escalated to the officials at Samsung who have been ignoring this issue for a long time.
This issue has not been addressed at all, and no fixes have been recommended either which is extremely saddening to see, given how this has affected a lot of their customers. Paying 16,000 for replacement of a defect that wasn’t their fault and just happened to take place after the warranty expires is very concerning,
Please support me and help me raise this issue to the company's notice.
