Stephen Hotchkin started this petition to Samsung

Samsung may produce innovative electronics, but the factories that workers spend their time in are far from ideal.

Samsung was accused of using child labor and imposing abusive hours in factories in China, Vietnam, and South Korea.

Many Samsung workers were exposed to toxic chemicals and some became sick with cancer. They weren’t properly trained to handle the toxic chemicals they were working with.

Some workers had health conditions including miscarriages, fatigue, and fainting due to the unhealthy working conditions.

There were allegations that Samsung threatened workers with lawsuits if they talked about their working conditions.

Samsung has a no-union policy which means that their workers can not fight for basic rights. Workers who have tried to unionize have been threatened and intimidated. Samsung also threatens to cancel contracts with companies that allow employees to unionize.

Samsung claims to be devoted to ethics, yet they ignore basic human rights laid out by the UDHR in articles 23 and 24.

By signing this petition, we can raise awareness of this issue and force Samsung to make changes in their policies.
