Myself and a lot of other students are sick of being punished as a group when there are only a few kids who are doing something"wrong." Usually there are only a small handful of kids, or maybe even only one or two that are actually acting out. The school should talk to just these kids instead of punishing the whole grade or class, etc.

          For example; the google hangout controversy. - Yes, there were a lot of kids who didn't use google hangout properly or respectfully, (as teachers say) but then again most of us were using google hangout appropriately and as a tool to talk to our friends and make plans. Now that it is blocked, we can't ask our friends what PAWS time they're going to, or what they're doing after-school. How can teachers encourage socialization, but yet we can't make plans with our friends. - Especially those of us who don't have phones. 

          The fact that the school blocked google hangouts is unfair. It also takes power away from the students even though the school is "all about shared power." When used appropriately google hangouts is a tool for communication and talking to friends. I also know ways that google hangouts has been used for education.

          Moreover, google hangouts should not be blocked; so if you want them back then sign this petition to help unblock hangouts. Every response counts!
