It's all about equality- straight people can get married, so why can't we? If we are still not allowed to get married, then it's still acceptable to discriminate against gays and lesbians. We are all the same, we all love each other, so we should all be able to celebrate that love through marriage. Just because someones gay doesn't mean they won't want a family, so we may want to have a proper marriage and adopt children. Or they might just want to have the same rights as a straight couple. Marriage is a union of two people who love each other, and every couple should be allowed to have it.
