Get my High-school to start a mental health and LGBT+ support group

Around 4:30pm on Sunday, the 25th of June, one of my friends tried to commit suicide by slicing his wrists open with a kitchen knife. Luckily, my friends mum got into contact with his mother and he was stopped before he could cause major bodily harm. He thought he was alone in the world and that no one could help him. You know what the worst part was?
He is 12 years old.
He hadn't even gone to high-school yet.
The teenage suicide epidemic is fastly growing and the rates are attrocious. Many of the causes of teen suicide is LGBT+ related. They believe that no one will accept them for who they are or who they want to be. This is what I will not stand for.
My friend brought up a good idea to start a huge help network in high-schools (to either go during lunch times or after-school) to help those with mental health disorders or LGBT+ issues to get their feelings out and feel accepted. I believe that it would help people like me (with social anxiety and depression) and others in my student body to feel good about themselves. This will hopefully decrease suicide rates in schools.
