Many current field 3 students are being told they must pass the STR and Content Certification exam by May 1st. In order to graduate/ move on to student teaching. This new rule was added to our degree plan last semester Spring 2021. Although we were never inform about this in Field 1 & 2. We all strongly believe this is completely unfair to us due to the nature of it being sprung on us at the last minute. As well as not having time to schedule said exams due to many of us having 5 - 6 classes, and being in the field 3 times a week. We want the deadline to be moved to June or July giving us enough time to take the exams and truly study for them.
