With the current issues in the world we have become more dependant on internet than ever before. Our children are attending school online, families are stuck at home depending on TV and internet for information. 

In this small city of St Joseph, MO we have one realistic choice for internet and it is Suddenlink. Because they have such a strangle hold on St Joseph they have higher prices here than they do in other areas. Their service is unreliable, and recently I was blamed for my slow download speeds.

Customers routinely do not receive the service they pay for. We understand that there will be variations in our service but I have a friend who has been getting 0.1% of his service for the last two weeks.

Meanwhile United Fiber is proving to be a great company providing better service for a lower price to the rural areas around my town. They offer services to small towns to the north, the east, and everything in between.

Other options like Google Fiber, or Verizon Fios provide great service to their customers as well. Any real options would give customers choices as well as force Suddenlink to provide better service.

Please help us take a stance that rural areas need broadband, but also areas with broadband need options.
