The future of Garissa County is at great risk of being ruined to a point of no return as the two tested consecutive governors who have practically failed county; swindled the public resources, caused collapse of earlier existing infrastructures including water, health, Sanitation; are once again determined to recapture the position through bribery and corruption. The two candidates track record is seriously tainted as they were both in the EACC black list. Moreover, Garissa residents at large know for a fact that both aspirants have no genuine university degree as required of the election act. As such, the two are only hoping to triumph through impunity and the unbridled use of their corruption proceeds. They are not only in breach of the leadership and integrity requirements as enshrined in the Constitution but are also culpable of the crime of forgery. 

In view of the above, We call upon Garissa electorates to join and sign this petition which seeks to compel;

1. The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) to expeditiously investigate the academic qualifications of Nathif Jama Adam and Ali Buno Korane, and further NOT clear them for elective or appointive office.

2. The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) NOT to clear the said individuals to contest in the 2022 general elections for reasons of failing to meet academic, ethical and moral standards as enshrined in Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya,2010.

3. We call on citizens across the country to adopt the campaign by Red Carding candidates across the political divide who do not meet the integrity threshold.
