The dress code is simply ridiculous when it comes to headbands. There have been several accounts of girls wearing them and being told to take them off due to them being considered hats. As a mother of two girls myself, most headbands we use aren't even for fashion purposes. The whole purpose of them is to keep hair out of girls faces, and while yes some are for fashion purposes, they pose no distraction to the work environment. In any other professional setting, headbands are allowed to be worn, so in reality this is teaching our children nothing other than to hide their individuality.
