We the people and we the parents should have our rights to choose what we believe is safest for ourselves or our children. The basic principal of freedom of choice is inhibited by these draconian measures that are not backed by science. We have a fundamental right to personal autonomy not be seized by an individual, group or government. Mask mandates cross the lines of bodily integrity, which encompasses not only the right to repel bodily intrusions but also the right to affirmative decision making about ones body.
The Supreme Court has said this; Union Pacific Railway Vs Botsford - “no right is held more scared or more carefully guarded by the common law than the right of every individual to the possession and control of his own person, free from all restraint or interference of others unless by clear and unquestionable authority of the law”.
Our constitutional right against bodily intrusion fits logically within the common law tradition of protection for the right to bodily privacy and self determination.
As sited in Cruzan Vs Missouri Dept of Health Justice Brennan stated “given the common law rule that forced medication (in this case masks) was a battery and the long legal tradition protecting the decision to refuse unwanted medical treatment, our assumption was entirely consistent with this Nations history and constitutional traditions.
Recently an Appeals court rules Alachua County mask mandate is “presumptively unconstitutional”. So if a county mask mandates is unconstitutional we are left to the same with mask mandates ordered by schools.

Let me leave you with this, we have the right to choose to mask our children, but we have the right to choose to not mask our children. America is founded on the Republic belief structure that individual rights are paramount and the basic rights of the individual should not be restricted for the whole.
