The Bay Area is beginning to feel the economic and social impact of the new coronavirus outbreak just months after COVID-19 was first detected in the Chinese city of Wuhan.

According to the CDC,

“The virus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person.

Between people who are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet).
Through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes.
These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs.”

With recent closures of fellow Bay Area schools such as Junipero Serra High, Menlo, etc. I believe it is crucial that Saint Francis and it’s community take action and close the school to prevent further spread of this disease.
