Fruit and vegetable seems to always be packaged in unnecessary packaging. This obviously creates extra cost for the supermarkets and increases the waste we create at home. Sometimes you just want one thing but you have to buy a whole pack which is costly to us and usually creates wastage of food.
Fruit and vegetables dont seem to be as fresh when packaged like this as the produce at the bottom most of the time has been squashed.
I think we should go back to good old fashioned open fruit and vegetables weigh and buy what you need.
Reducing packaging, reducing waste, freeing up space in our recycle bins thus helping the issue we have with all the plastic that is harming the environment.
We are paying for carrier bags or reusing them trying to be environmentally friendly but on the otherhand being forced to buy pre-packaged food.
