SAINSBURY'S: STOP selling shark and turtle-killing tuna!

SAINSBURY'S: STOP selling shark and turtle-killing tuna!
Why this petition matters

Sainsbury's are selling tuna sourced from fishing boats that use environmentally destructive fishing methods that kill sharks, cetaceans and turtles and cause untold amounts of plastic pollution in the ocean.
Please sign this petition calling on them to STOP this unsustainable practice.
BACKGROUND: Sainsbury's are selling 'responsibly sourced' tuna under their own brand which is great, well done Sainsbury's.
However, Sainsbury's still think it's OK for them to sell other brands of dirty tuna (Princes and John West brands) that are NOT 'responsibly sourced'.
How can this irresponsible behaviour by Sainsbury's ever be called sustainable?
Tuna lovers: please stop shopping at Sainsbury's until they pull Princes and John West off their shelves, or until Princes and John West can publicly commit to stop sourcing tuna from overfishing boats that use environmentally destructive and toxic Fish Aggregating Devices, or FADs.
Whilst we acknowledge that Princes and John West claim to source responsibly, this is pure greenwash because they both refuse to stop sourcing from overfishing boats that use purse seine nets associated with FADs which in turn are decimating silky shark, Olive Ridley turtle and cetacean populations in the Indian Ocean where most UK supermarket tuna comes from.
These nightmarish FADs not only indiscriminately kill large numbers of endangered and threatened species, but they are also made of plastic and should be banned because they often break apart, or are deliberately abandoned at sea, washing insane amounts of toxic plastic onto fragile marine environments such pristine coral reefs and the seabed – or it ends up right back in the food chain poisoning our fish, and ultimately us and our children.
LET'S ALL BOYCOTT SAINSBURY'S UNTIL THEY STOP SELLING ENVIRONMENTALLY DESTRUCTIVE PRINCES AND JOHN WEST TUNA!
